The inspiration for MyDrsOrders
MyDrsOrders app was designed to help patients record and recall conversations with their healthcare providers and share those conversations with their loved ones and other providers.
The app was inspired by an experience we had after my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. When my mom and dad returned from dad's doctor appointments, my siblings and I would ask “What did the doctor say?” and often the information we received from our parents seemed incomplete and inconsistent with what we were observing.
I developed the first version of this app in 2009 to help our family better understand and manage our father’s health.
